Steddie and auntie robin take their kid mini golfing.
At every single hole, Eddie and the kid are running after the ball, hitting it back and forth before it’s even stopped rolling, sword fighting with their putters and loudly proclaiming hole in one! no matter how many shots it takes.
Steve is standing back with Robin, holding a tiny pencil and a score sheet that has two mini “you rule | you suck” boards in lieu of actual scores.
“this is a mockery of the noble sport of mini golf,” he mutters as robin adds another tally to her “you rule” column after another (actual) hole in one, and a tally to his own “you suck” column as he continues to hit the ball in circles around the hole.
Eddie and their kid are already three holes ahead, on hands and knees, trying to blow the ball into the hole without touching it.

I just want a dreamling fic of Hob getting Dream to do terribly human and mundane things. Sometimes Hob's just inviting Dream to do something he was already going to do. Sometimes Hob realizes Dream hasn't done something boring human thing and wants Dream to do it so bad. Sometimes Hob doesn't know whether Dream has done a boring human thing before but he just wants to see Dream doing it. It'd be so cute if whenever Hob doesn't have access to something, upon becoming better and better at navigating the dreaming, he just dreams up the situation there.
—OKAY WAIT THIS LITERALLY JUST FLEW INTO MY HEAD!!! Okay, you know how wives sometimes go with their husband's to golf courses and they literally just sit in the cart. CAN YOU IMAGINE— Dream's with Hob at Hob's place of work and Hob's coworkers/work friends invite Hob to play golf with them and Hob agrees for whatever reason and then Hob's work friends invite Dream along too and Hob didn't even think about it but now he NEEDS Dream to go and Dream reluctantly agrees. In true wifey fashion Dream shows up in full golf attire like he's going to play but just sits in the cart the entire time. I think it could be hilarious.

my mom isn’t letting my dad go back to his office bc him being out of the house stresses her out and makes her have a flare up and it’s like kind of insane. like i understand why the idea of him doing that would make her panicky and angry as someone who also struggles w separation anxiety and abandonment shit / has physical symptoms from that kind of stress (though not to the same degree ofc) but also he is a grown man. he should be allowed to go to his office and not have to shape his entire life around her needs. and she keeps guilt tripping him out of it and it’s impacting his quality of life a lot and the whole thing is kind of… hm

US Rear Admiral Alan Shepard & golf on the Moon... During the 1971 Apollo 14 lunar landing mission, commander Alan B. Shepard played a few golf shots in the Fra Mauro region on the Moon! NASA astronauts and sports always went together... 52 years ago “Golf” became the sport of almost every astronaut as in 1968, astronaut chief Deke Slayton requested that he could play with other astronauts and approached Golf-pro Danny Lawler to give the Apollo astronauts some private lessons. Veteran-astronaut Alan Shepard was a keen golf player since the Mercury days and had the idea to play golf on the Moon ! On Apollo 14, Commander Shepard carried a make-shift Iron-6 attached to a geologic sample stick and hit three golf balls on the Moon. The make of ��the Golf balls was never revealed but the actual Golf stick sits in the U.S.G.A. museum in New Jersey - USA. is there any way that i can tell moirail that theyre definitely autistic or at least suggest that they look into it without sounding mean
#they walk with their arms straight at their sides they dont understand social cues their special interest is definitely herpetology#(hypothetical or otherwise) they tv talk all the time (although the tv is usually memes) they use scripts for most interactions they get#overwhelmed by loud noises and screw their eyes shut and cover their ears and rock back and forth when they happen#they dont like being touched all that much (which kinda sucks for me since thats my love language but its ok) idk their opinions on#eye contact but ill ask. ive just been taking notes for a while plus their mom is autistic (self diagnosed good for her) and idk if that#plays into anything but theres that#some more surface level things are that they like dragons and are ace and wear the same outfit every day basically or the same type at leas#(collared shirt and a skirt or leggings. or both. i saved them from jeans under a skirt at least) they like dnd and basically all their#friends are nd. ive observed that they drift to the neurodivergent ppl in a group and make fun of the neurotypical ones#so yeah. help. also a mean kid at golf camp called them autistic as an insult so idk how to say it w/o it sounding like that#like they were like “haha a kid called me autistic. isnt that crazy. im so neurotypical” and went on to call some reptile a “crocodilian”#and make everyone at the table watch multiple minute long videos of the same lizard they saw in hawaii#oh oh and ive noticed that they have hyperempathy but low emotional intelligence like they wont notice if im like super depressed but theyll#burst into tears if a lizard is held wrong. or if someone like throws a toy at a wall#and they hate little kids because theyre overwhelming and unpredictable
